Position Requirements
Administrative Assistant Role
The ideal candidate for the Administrative Assistant position at Georgia Southern Wesley Foundation will fulfill the following requirements:
- Essential Duties: Answer phones, greet visitors, schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, manage mail, prepare communications, maintain filing systems, and handle bookkeeping through QuickBooks Online.
- Work Schedule: A 20-hour work week that includes office hours, weekly staff meetings, weekend retreats, and board meetings.
- Personal Attributes: A personal relationship with Jesus, regular participation in local church worship, and personal devotion practices. The candidate must also be coachable, willing to learn, and committed to serving the ministry. Effective communication skills are essential, including the ability to articulate expectations, personal goals, and handle family emergencies.
